Tomorrow Charlton visit Home Park to play Plymouth and unfortunately I’ve reluctantly had to decline an invitation from my good friend and Plymouth director Peter Jones to be his guest at the match, due to a prior engagement.

It’s a shame I can’t attend as it should be a great game and I’ve had an affinity with Argyle since I took part in the BBC 2 job-swap series ‘Turning the Tables’ back in 2001 when I ‘swapped’ jobs with the then Plymouth CEO David Tall and spent a week at Home Park with David spending a week at The Valley. The image above is from the programme article I wrote during my stay at the Club.

It’s amazing that this was 16 years ago and so much has happened to both clubs in that time. I’ve posted these links to the TV programme before but ahead of tomorrow’s match I thought I’d publish them again.

If you haven’t seen the programme before, it’s a time when Charlton were riding high in the Premier League under Alan Curbishley and Plymouth were on their way to winning the 2nd Division Championship led by Paul Sturrock.

I hope you enjoy the programme, which is in two links:
