Steve is an accomplished and experienced host/compere of events such as fund-raising dinners, corporate presentations, book launches and seminars. He has worked with some of the country’s top speakers, sports stars, politicians and presenters, including Lord Seb Coe, Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Jonathan Edwards CBE, Daley Thompson CBE, Peter Reed MBE, Sir Geoff Hurst, Mark Lawrenson, Chris Kamara, John Motson OBE, Steve Rider, Steve Davis OBE, Charlie Ross, Heather Small, Dave Berry, Jim Davidson OBE, Damon Hill OBE, Charles Hanson and Steve Backley OBE.
Throughout his career in professional football Steve was regularly asked to comment on football related issues for television and radio and his appearances include Sky Sports’ ‘Soccer AM’, Channel 4’s ‘Under the Moon’, BBC Radio Five Live and, when at Charlton Athletic FC, Steve was also the subject of a major BBC 2 documentary series in 2001 called ‘Turning the Tables’ when he swapped places for a week with the Chief Executive of the then 2nd Division, Plymouth Argyle FC.

Steve is a frequent guest as a newspaper reviewer on BBC Radio Kent’s Breakfast Show and in the past he has also hosted his own football chat shows including ‘Charlton Chat’ on RTM Radio and ‘Talk of the Town’ on BBC Wiltshire Radio.
